RML were commissioned to carry out a Site investigation to establish the condition and profiles of existing foundations to perimeter fence posts as well as perimeter edging to an existing pitch.
Fieldwork was undertaken in line with British Standards BS 5930:2015+A1:2020. 4 No. Drive-in-sampler Boreholes, 9 No. Hand Excavated Trial Pits, MEXE Probe CBR Tests, and Land-Borne Gas and Water monitoring were undertaken as part of the investigation.
According to information published by British Geological Survey (BGS) the underlying geology is shown as being on the boundary of Recent Head Deposits overlying the Upper and Middle Chalk (Newhaven Chalk) of the Upper Cretaceous Period.
Quick Undrained Triaxial Compression Tests, Chemical Analysis- soil, Waste Classification Test and asbestos identification were the Laboratory tests undertaken for the project.
RML were commissioned to carry out a Site investigation to establish the condition and type of existing pitch construction makeup, drainage construction including land drains and soakaways, to determine ground conditions and geotechnical properties of the subsoil for pitch construction design including soakaway design and also to investigate the environmental characteristics of the ground including contamination testing, gas/groundwater monitoring and waste acceptance criteria.
Fieldwork was undertaken in line with British Standards BS 5930:2015+A1:2020. 3 No. Drive-in-sampler Boreholes, 8 No. Mechanically Excavated Trial Pits, MEXE Probe CBR tests, BRE 365 Soil Infiltration Tests and Land-Borne Gas and Groundwater Monitoring were undertaken as part of the investigation.
According to information published by British Geological Survey (BGS) the underlying geology at the site site is shown as being Recent Head Deposits overlying the Upper and Middle Chalk (Tarrant Chalk Member) of the Upper Cretaceous Period.
Particle Size Distribution, Quick Undrained Triaxial Compression Tests, Chemical Analysis, Waste Classification Tests, Asbestos Identifications and pH and Sulphate Tests were the Laboratory tests undertaken for the project.
RML were commissioned to carry out a borehole investigation to assist in the design of a piled foundation.
Fieldwork was undertaken in line with British Standards BS 5930:2015+A1:2020. 2 No. Sonic Coring Boreholes were drilled at the site to depth of 30m.
According to information published by British Geological Survey (BGS) the underlying geology at the site is Recent Brickearth overlying Upper and Middle Chalk of the Cretaceous Period.
Laboratory Testing
Natural Moisture Contents, Atterberg Limits, Particle Size Distribution, Quick Undrained Triaxial Compression Tests, Chalk Density and pH and Sulphate Tests were the Laboratory tests undertaken for the project.
