RML were commissioned to carry out a Site investigation to gather information on the existing ground
slab and underlying sub-soil conditions at this site, together with laboratory testing,
in order to assist the Consulting Engineers to confirm the safe bearing capacity of the concrete
slab.
Fieldwork was undertaken in line with British Standards BS 5930:2015+A1:2020. 4 No. Concrete Cores, 6 No. Drive-in-Sampler Boreholes and MEXE Probe CBR Tests were undertaken as part of the site investigation.
According to Information Published by British Geological Survey the underlying geology at this site comprised London Clay of the Eocene Period.
Natural Moisture Contents, Atterberg Limits, Quick Undrained Triaxial Compression Tests and Uniaxial Compression Tests were the Laboratory tests undertaken for this project.
