RML were commissioned to carry out a Site Investigation for the construction of a new, low-rise, detached dwelling with associated access road and landscaping.
Fieldwork was undertaken in line with British Standards BS 5930:2015+A1:2020. 2 No. Cable Percussion Boreholes and 20 No. Dynamic Probes (DPSH) were undertaken across the site.
According to Information Published by British Geological survey (BGS) the underlying geology of this site site comprised Recent Taplow Gravel (River Thames Terrace Deposits) overlying Upper Chalk of the Upper Cretaceous Period.
Geotechnical parameters for conventional shallow foundation design and piled foundations were discussed within the RML report and submitted to the Client.
