RML were commissioned to carry out a Site investigation for a demolition of existing buildings and construction of a two-storey building, including basement level, providing two office units and six residential units, together with the associated access, car parking and landscaping.
Fieldwork was undertaken in line with British Standards BS 5930:2015+A1:2020. 5 No. Light Percussion Boreholes, 6 No. Hand Excavated Trial Pits, Ground Water Sampling and Land-Borne Gas and Water monitoring were undertaken as part of the investigation.
According to information published by British Geological Survey (BGS) the underlying geology is shown as being Recent Langley Silt overlying Kempton Park Gravel (River Thames Terrace Deposits) over London Clay of the Eocene Period.
Natural Moisture Contents, Quick Undrained Triaxial Compression Tests, Particle Size Distribution, pH and sulphates, Chemical Analysis- Soil & Water, Hazardous Waste Classification tests, Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC) and Asbestos identification were the Laboratory tests undertaken for the project.
