RML were instructed to carry out a Site investigation for the demolition of an existing dwelling and construction of a new three-storey property, together with associated car parking, access and landscaping.

Fieldwork

Fieldwork was undertaken in line with British Standards BS 5930:2015+A1:2020. 1 No. Sonic Coring Borehole, 3 No. Drive-in-Sampler Boreholes, 1 No. Falling Head Permeability Test and Land-borne Gas Monitoring.

Ground Conditions

According to Information Published by British Geological Survey (BGS) the underlying geology at this site comprised London Clay of the Eocene Period. The Lambeth Group would be expected to underlie the London Clay at the site.

Laboratory Testing

Natural Moisture Contents, Atterberg Limits, Quick Undrained Triaxial Compression Tests, Particle Size Distribution Tests, Chemical Analysis, Asbestos Identification, Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC) Tests and pH and Sulphate Tests were the Laboratory tests undertaken for this project.
