RML were commissioned to carry out a Site investigation for the demolition of existing buildings and construction of new, single-storey, industrial units.

Fieldwork

Fieldwork was undertaken in line with British Standards BS 5930:2015+A1:2020. 1 No. Cable Percussion Borehole, 3 No. Light Percussion Boreholes and Land-Borne Gas and Groundwater Monitoring were undertaken as part of the investigation.

Ground Conditions

According to information published by British Geological Survey (BGS) the underlying geology at the site site site is shown as being recent Alluvium overlying recent River Terrace Deposits overlying the Wittering Formation (Bracklesham Group) of the Palaeogene Period.

Laboratory Testing

Natural Moisture Contents, Atterberg Limits, Quick Undrained Triaxial Compression Tests, Particle Size Distribution, Chemical Analysis, Asbestos Identifications and pH and Sulphate Tests were the Laboratory tests undertaken for the project.
