RML were commissioned to carry out a Site investigation for a demolition of an existing building and provision of a mixed use scheme comprising 19 No. small and large HMO units.

Field Work

Fieldwork was undertaken in line with British Standards BS 5930:2015+A1:2020. 3 No. Concrete Cores, 3 No. Drive-In-Sampler Boreholes, Shallow Infiltration Tests, Falling Head Permeability Tests, Land-borne Gas Monitoring and Photoionisation Detector (PID) Monitoring were undertaken as part of the investigation.

Ground Conditions

According to information published by British Geological Survey (BGS) the underlying geology at the site comprised 2nd River Terrace Deposits over the Gault Formation of the of the Cretaceous Period.

Laboratory Testing

Particle Size Distribution, Dynamic Headspace Analysis, Chemical Analysis, Waste Classification Tests and pH and Sulphate Tests were the Laboratory tests undertaken for the project.
