RML were commissioned to carry out a Site investigation for two sites in High Wycombe. Oxford Road Site – demolition of the existing buildings and construction of a new seven-storey building, Brook Street Site – demolition of the existing buildings and construction of a new two-storey building.
Fieldwork was undertaken in line with British Standards BS 5930:2015+A1:2020. 3 No. Cable Percussion Boreholes, 3 No. Window Sampler Boreholes, MEXE Probe CBR Tests, 9 No. Hand Excavated Trial Pits, 2 No. BRE 365 Soil Infiltration Tests and Land-borne Gas Monitoring were undertaken as part of the investigation.
According to information published by British Geological Survey (BGS) the underlying geology at the site comprised Recent Alluvium deposits overlying Middle Chalk of the Cretaceous Period.
Particle Size Distribution, Chemical Analysis, Waste Acceptance Criteria (WAC), Asbestos Identification Tests and pH and Sulphate Tests were the Laboratory tests undertaken for the project.
