Risk Management Limited were employed to undertake a Phase II Site Investigation at an existing building to inform the design and erection of a detached, two-storey, replacement dwelling with basement served by a vehicular access ramp.

Field work

Intrusive fieldwork consisted of 3 No. cable percussion boreholes up to 20m depth, 2 No. Light-percussion boreholes up to 3.5m depth, 4 No. mechanically excavated Trial Pits, BRE365, soil infiltration tests, 4 No. MEXE probe test, 2 No. falling head permeability tests and land-borne gas monitoring.

Laboratory Testing

Laboratory testing included Particle Size Distribution tests, Asbestos identification, pH and Sulphate tests and Soil contamination test and WAC tests.
